Twins at the Harbour: A Parable of Dominance, Geometry, and Dynamics

Published: 2026-01-09
Abstract

A parable illustrating the three-layer decomposition of physical selection. Two twins live equidistant from two harbours. One harbour requires a tie for entry (Dominance: who may enter). On the liner, passengers receive equal coupons to choose cabins (Geometry: resource allocation). Two liners with different captains take different routes to different continents (Dynamics: how selection unfolds over time). The twin without a tie never boards. The narrative provides intuitive access to the formal DGD framework presented in the companion paper Dominance, Geometry, and Dynamics.
